The practice is situated in a nice and quiet health centre in Keizer Karelpark neighbourhood in Amstelveen. At ‘Inner River Acupunctuur’, you are very welcome for acupuncture treatments, that are based on a holistic and individual approach to health.

By inserting very thin, sterile needles in acupuncture points, the self-healing capacity of the body is stimulated. Moreover, by evaluating potential causes of disbalance, to be able to change these circumstances, we will work together to get you back to a healthy balance.

Indications

Acupuncture can be of help for a variety of symptoms and health complaints, such as:

  • stress complaints, burn-out, fatigue
  • emotional disbalances, for example anxiety, mild depression
  • insomnia
  • gastro-intestinal complaints, such as IBS, bloating, diarrhoea, constipation
  • all variety of pain complaints, such as headaches, joint pains, stomach ache, lower back and menstrual pain
  • immune system complaints, for example hay fever

Treatment

A first appointment takes up to 75 minutes. Additionally to asking questions, I’ll take a look at your tongue and feel your pulse. The needles will stay inserted for 20-30 minutes, during which time, you can relax.
In the follow up treatments, we evaluate your progress. These treatments take up to 60 minutes.

Before and after treatment – tips

  • Make sure you eat sufficiently one to two hours before, but not too much.
  • It is handy to wear loosely fitted clothes.
  • Don’t plan heavy (physical or mental) activity after the treatment.
  • Drink enough water or fluids, but no alcohol afterwards.

Important, always notify if:

  • you’re (possibly) pregnant
  • you have epilepsy
  • you have a contagious disease

Costs

Price is the same for an intake as well as a follow-up acupuncture session: € 68

I am a member of the acupuncture association Zhong, therefore, treatment costs may be reimbursed by the health insurance depending on additional health care package. Check ZorgWijzer for more information.

About me

Trained and working as a biotechnologist and scientist, I was very good at measuring precisely and complex analythical thinking. But at one point I burned out. The connection with myself had to be restored. I broke down my inner dams to become like a river again.

From that moment on, I started making choices from my heart and what is of value to me. By taking an intuitive development course, I learned to trust and follow my intuition again.

It is important to me that people feel heard and seen. I find the connection between body & mind super interesting. Practicing Qigong directed me towards Taoism and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In this philosophy and empirical science, this connection turned out to be so clear and beautifully present, that I decided that this is the direction, I wanted to pursue. In 2024, I graduated with honors from Shenzhou Open University of TCM.

With my knowledge and experience, I hope to contribute to your well-being and health!
